Set within a beautifully restored mill house in Duffield, Derbyshire, this exceptional luxury bathroom renovation blends historic character with contemporary design. Featuring original 1800s brick vaulted ceilings, the space has been transformed by Leonide Interiors into a modern, design-led wet room.

Architectural Design & Statement Lighting

A key feature of this bathroom is the carefully planned recessed LED lighting, designed to enhance both the architecture and materials within the space.

Within the wet room, a central recessed niche creates a striking illuminated feature wall, adding depth and a spa-like atmosphere. Around the vanity area, a boxed-out ceiling detail with integrated lighting softly highlights the textured 3D-effect feature tiles, while a backlit offset mirror provides both function and visual impact.

Bespoke Craftsmanship & Premium Finishes

A custom-built 1.5m floating vanity unit was designed to perfectly suit the layout, finished with a luxurious Calacatta Gold quartz worktop for a refined, high-end feel.

Throughout the space, gunmetal brassware adds a bold, contemporary contrast against the warm tones of the Italian porcelain tiles, creating a balanced and cohesive design.

To ensure a flawless finish, we used colour-matched Schluter tile trims, delivering crisp lines and a seamless aesthetic across all tiled surfaces.
